EU moves to EMERGENCY communications system for crises

The European Commission has proposed the creation of a new system that will ensure secure and resilient communications between emergency services in European Union countries during crises and emergencies.

TodayPress TV reports that the system, known as EUCCS, will be built on key technological components developed by European companies.

The new system will enable stable, real-time communication between emergency services even in areas where terrestrial communications networks are unavailable.

EUCCS will allow data, video, messages and geolocation information to be shared in real time through a single secure device. The system is expected to strengthen coordination between services during crises and emergencies.
