Türkiye also suspends all flights from Iran

All flights from Iran to Türkiye will be suspended at the beginning of October.

TodayPress TV reports, citing sources, that Türkiye Today reported this.

Turkish officials have not yet announced such a decision. However, a Turkish official with close ties to Iranian airlines has confirmed that the flights could be canceled.

New US sanctions targeting Iran’s aviation sector came into effect on September 23. Washington warned that any airport or company providing services to Iranian air carriers could face the risk of being excluded from the US dollar system. Against this backdrop, a number of countries, including Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Oman, Kuwait, the UAE and Iraq, have closed their airports to Iranian airlines.
