BREAKING: Russian drone targets checkpoint on Polish border

A Russian-made jet-powered drone has struck again near the Yahodyn checkpoint in Volyn, located directly on the border with Poland.

TodayPress TV reports, citing a source in Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, that BBC News Ukraine reported the incident.

According to preliminary information, the drone did not hit the checkpoint itself. Videos released online show that it crashed in a wooded area near people and border infrastructure.

At around 18:00 (19:00 Baku time), the Ukrainian Air Force reported a jet-powered drone moving westward over Volyn toward the Polish border. Poland scrambled fighter jets and placed ground-based air defence systems and radar reconnaissance units on alert. Air-raid sirens sounded in the Lublin Voivodeship, while the airports in Lublin and Rzeszów temporarily suspended operations.
