Azerbaijan calls for legal assessment of Balligaya massacre
The crimes committed in Balligaya must be subject to a legal assessment, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
According to TodayPress TV, the ministry made the statement in a post on its X account.
"August 28 marks the 34th anniversary of the massacre of peaceful Azerbaijani civilians by the Armenian armed forces in Balligaya village of Goranboy district. We commemorate with deep respect the innocent people who lost their lives in Balligaya and once again emphasize the importance of providing a legal assessment of the crimes against humanity committed and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable before justice," the ministry said.
