Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has cited the development of Türkiye’s defence industry as an example for his country.

TodayPress TV reports that the minister specifically highlighted the activities of Türkiye’s Defence Industry Agency (SSB).

According to him, the SSB is a comprehensive institution that differs from other organisations around the world. Türkiye not only produces and supplies military equipment for its own needs, but also exports defence products to foreign countries and actively promotes these exports.

Kosiniak-Kamysz said that Poland also wants to implement Türkiye’s model.

According to the minister, Türkiye has made significant progress in its defence industry over the past 20 years. Previously, the country produced only 20% of the military equipment it needed domestically, while 80% was purchased from abroad.

The situation is now reportedly the exact opposite.
