Trump jokes about the name Muhammad
US President Donald Trump has joked about the name Muhammad, which is widely used in Muslim communities.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Modern.az, that Trump made the remarks at an election rally in Dalton, Georgia, on October 16. He said that if someone could not remember the name of a person from the Middle East, they could simply call him “Muhammad”.
“If you’re not sure of the name of someone from the Middle East, just say ‘Muhammad’. You have about a 65% chance of getting it right. ‘Hello, Muhammad.’ I’ve been doing this for years, and I’ve never been wrong,” Trump said.
According to Reuters, the joke did not elicit a significant reaction from rally attendees.
