Russian oligarch paid for Trump’s son’s wedding
It has been confirmed that Russian Umar Kremlyov covered part of the expenses for the wedding of US President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump, and Bettina Anderson.
TodayPress TV reports that Bettina Trump shared the information on her social media account.
She said Kremlyov organized two events for them after their wedding, describing them as a very generous wedding gift.
“Our dear friend Umar organized two wonderful events for us after our wedding. It was a very generous wedding gift from our friend, and we will always be grateful to him for it,” Bettina Trump wrote.
Earlier, an investigation by ProPublica reported that the wedding took place in the Bahamas in May and lasted three days. According to the investigation, Umar Kremlyov, head of the International Boxing Association, covered part of the wedding expenses and attended the private ceremony.
It has not been disclosed exactly how much Kremlyov paid toward the wedding or whether he attended all of the events.
Bettina Trump, meanwhile, said that her friendship with Kremlyov was not politically motivated, adding that “sometimes a wedding gift is just a wedding gift.”
