Three NATO aircraft in the air at the same time: What is happening over the Baltic Sea?
The U.S. Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft conducted a flight around Russia’s Kaliningrad Region on August 24, TodayPress TV reports, citing RIA Novosti.
According to flight data, the aircraft took off from the airport in Constanța, Romania, and at around 10:50 a.m. Moscow time began flying in a circular trajectory approximately 50 kilometers from the Russian border.
This week, the ARTEMIS II aircraft has made several flights near the Kaliningrad Region using the airspace of Poland and Lithuania, as well as the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. In some cases, it was accompanied by NATO’s Boeing E-3A Sentry and Gulfstream EA-37B Compass Call II aircraft.
