SHOCKING CLAIM: Pilot allegedly wanted to crash plane into Ben Gurion Airport
The pilot of a Flydubai aircraft allegedly planned to crash the plane into a terminal at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport.
TodayPress TV reports that, according to the allegation, Omani national Hamam Al-Hamami spent several months preparing the attack and planned to divert the aircraft toward the airport after receiving clearance to land.
During the investigation, he reportedly said, “It was my dream to crash into Ben Gurion.”
The attack was reportedly thwarted by passengers and crew members who entered the cockpit. Despite suffering serious injuries, Captain Smith Makkhar opened the cockpit door, allowing them to intervene.
According to the report, Al-Hamami had previously been removed from flights at Oman Air due to his radical views. However, Flydubai was allegedly not informed about this.
Following the incident, the Israeli prime minister instructed authorities to conduct a security review concerning flights operated by foreign airlines to the country.
