Is a space arms race beginning? – Notable statement from US
The United States has orbital weapons designed to control outer space.
TodayPress TV reports that US Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink made the statement.
“Today, we continue to ensure that we are prepared to meet the challenges posed by ever-changing threats, regardless of where they emerge. That is why the United States currently has a space-control weapon in orbit capable of protecting the combined US Armed Forces in space from hostile actions by adversaries,” he said.
Asked to provide more details about these weapons, the secretary declined to do so.
