Israeli military placed on heightened alert
Israel has raised the alert level for its forces in Gaza.
TodayPress TV reports that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered an increase in the readiness level of the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza following intelligence indicating that Hamas may attempt to attack Israeli forces.
According to the report, Katz ordered additional measures to be taken to prevent possible attacks against Israeli troops ahead of October 7.
The minister said that if Israeli forces are harmed, Hamas and Gaza will face a “heavy price beyond all measure.”
