Israel sets its sights on the capital this time
Calls are emerging within the Israeli military for the seizure of additional territory in Syria.
TodayPress TV reports, citing the Walla portal, that a senior Israeli military official said there are views among reservists calling for the capture of Damascus.
“Do reservists want to capture Damascus? Many of them do – yes. This issue was also raised two weeks ago during a meeting between the Chief of Staff and the reservists,” the Israeli officer said.
According to the report, discussions within the Israeli military over expanding military operations in Syria are continuing.
