Did the Houthis try to strike Mecca? – VIDEO

Saudi Arabia’s air defence forces intercepted and neutralized a Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying toward Mecca.

TodayPress TV reports that Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, announced the incident on the X platform.

According to Al-Maliki, the UAV was intercepted south of Mecca. He described the incident as an “act of aggression and terrorism” against Mecca and said it was the second attempt to strike the holy city since an attack involving a ballistic missile on July 27, 2017.

However, Houthi officials who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity denied the claims that Mecca had been targeted.

There is currently no independently confirmed information on where the UAV was launched from or whether Mecca was specifically targeted.
