How long will Riyadh airport remain closed?
Riyadh International Airport, which suspended operations following attacks, is expected to remain closed until around October 17.
TodayPress TV reports, citing a source in air traffic control services quoted by TASS, that the airport’s closure is expected to continue until then.
“The airport will remain closed to aircraft arrivals and departures until the end of the day on Saturday, October 17, approximately,” the agency’s source said.
The source noted that this information had been communicated to all potential users of the airspace.
It should be recalled that on October 10 and 11, the airport in the Saudi capital was targeted in attacks by Yemen’s Houthi movement, Ansar Allah. According to Saudi authorities, the first attack killed at least 12 people and injured another 309.
A second attack on October 11 killed one person and injured 11 others. The airport sustained material damage.
