What is happening in Europe? Azerbaijanis also urged to stay alert amid dangerous times

Amid concerns over a financial crisis in Europe, Azerbaijani citizens and nationals of other countries living in the region have been issued an appeal.

According to the information, no serious incident has occurred at present, and although certain risks exist, there is no reason to panic. Citizens have been advised to remain in the countries where they live and continue their daily activities.

It was noted that the risks are not limited to specific regions and that different threats may emerge in various parts of the world.

The appeal urged citizens to act cautiously in financial matters, avoid spending large amounts of money on unnecessary expenses as they did previously, and save money whenever possible. It was stated that the possibility that the next 5–10 years could be more difficult should be taken into consideration.

Citizens were also advised to keep a certain amount of cash on hand and at home. It was emphasized that, amid the possibility of cyberattacks targeting banking systems, it could be useful to keep enough cash in reserve to cover several days of expenses.

The appeal also drew attention to security issues. Citizens were advised to comply with local rules and recommendations in the countries where they live, stay away from environments that could lead to tensions, and remain vigilant against possible risks of discriminatory and chauvinistic attacks.
