US fighter jet crashes in German airspace
A US F-16 fighter jet has crashed near Spangdahlem Air Base in western Germany, injuring one person.
TodayPress TV reports, citing local authorities as reported by Bild, that the incident occurred near the US base.
A plume of black smoke was reportedly seen rising from the area of the base.
According to German broadcaster SWR, two aircraft took off from the base, and one of them crashed. The pilot managed to eject.
