Secret agent in 12-day war executed in Iran
Iran has executed a person accused of spying for Israel.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Iranian media, that Hossein Pedaran was found guilty of spying for Israel and conducting intelligence cooperation.
Pedaran was hanged and executed after the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence issued against him.
It was reported that during the 12-day war, Pedaran passed information to Israel’s Mossad intelligence service about sensitive military facilities in Isfahan province, located in central Iran.
Iran’s judiciary said that Pedaran had carried out his espionage activities for financial gain.
