Barcola scored a hat-trick in Liverpool’s away match against Austrian club LASK yesterday. The game ended in a 6–3 victory for Liverpool.
Barcola’s rivals for the award were Nicolò Tresoldi, a forward for Belgian club Club Brugge; Harry Kane, a striker for German side Bayern Munich; and Lamine Yamal, a winger for Spanish club Barcelona.
Barcola has scored three goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season.
