The historic treaty on allied relations has brought relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to their highest level, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the high-level meeting in the SCO Plus format, according to TodayPress TV.

"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the invitation and hospitality. I am pleased to visit brotherly Kyrgyzstan again. A month ago, during my state visit, a treaty on allied relations was signed. This historic document has brought relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to their highest level," Ilham Aliyev said.

He also congratulated President Sadyr Japarov and the people of Kyrgyzstan on achievements in the country's socioeconomic development and the strengthening of its standing on the international stage.

"Кыргызstan's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term demonstrates the international community's support for the policy pursued by Kyrgyzstan," the Azerbaijani president stressed.
