Hikmet Hajiyev discusses Azerbaijan’s historical heritage in Dubai

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev presented Azerbaijan’s rich historical heritage at the Arab Media Forum in Dubai.

During the panel, he spoke about the ancient state of Caucasian Albania, including its rich Christian heritage, noting that traces of this heritage are particularly evident in Karabakh and other regions of“I emphasized Azerbaijan’s centuries-old tradition of multiculturalism and religious tolerance, as well as our country’s commitment to protecting, preserving and restoring its rich cultural and religious heritage, regardless of its origin or confessional affiliation. I also touched upon the large-scale destruction, desecration and alteration of Azerbaijan’s religious and cultural heritage during the years of occupation, stressing the importance of preserving historical truth and protecting this heritage for future generations.”

According to Hajiyev, the panel, moderated by the CEO of Euronews, was also attended by Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the UAE’s Minister of Economy and Tourism.
