President Ilham Aliyev allocates 5 million manats to Sabah football club

Azerbaijani football club Sabah, which secured a place in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, has been allocated 5 million manats from the reserve fund of the President of Azerbaijan.

According to TodayPress TV, the relevant order was signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to ensure financing in the specified amount, while the Cabinet of Ministers was tasked with addressing issues arising from the order.

On August 25, Sabah defeated Hapoel in the UEFA Champions League play-off based on the aggregate score over two legs (1:2, 5:2), securing a place in the league phase of the tournament.
