The “Sepah Pasdaran” channel, reportedly affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claims that protests against an alleged “hijab ban in Azerbaijan” are intensifying and is using the issue for anti-Azerbaijani propaganda.

TodayPress TV reports that, according to the information, although there is no blanket ban on hijab in Azerbaijan, individuals linked to the IRGC are reportedly writing the slogan “Freedom for hijab!” on banknotes, placing inscriptions with similar messages in various locations, filming them and sending the footage to the IRGC.

According to the allegations, the footage is subsequently used as anti-Azerbaijani propaganda material.

The stated aim of these activities is to exploit the hijab issue to interfere in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs and manipulate public opinion in the country.
