Tokayev lost 9 kilograms with this routine
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has spoken about his personal life, health and daily habits.
TodayPress TV reports that, in an interview with Turkestan newspaper, Tokayev said he had no health complaints.
The president said he practices yoga every day but does not meditate.
“I have got used to daily yoga exercises, but I do not meditate. Several times a week, I play table tennis with a former professional tennis player,” Tokayev said.
According to him, he lost 9 kilograms as a result of this routine and began to feel better.
Tokayev described his character as “statist.” He said 50 years of public service, as well as his first specialization — sinology — had instilled patience and discipline in him. The president also noted that he personally works on the texts of his speeches and letters and does not tolerate poor writing style or spelling mistakes.
He also spoke about the interest of other heads of state in sports:
“Vladimir Putin practices judo, Ilham Aliyev trains regularly and is physically strong, Sadyr Japarov plays football, Shavkat Mirziyoyev keeps fit at the gym, Nikol Pashinyan rides a bicycle, Alexander Lukashenko plays hockey, while Emomali Rahmon has the endurance of a ‘fighter-sailor.’”
It should be noted that the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries is currently being held in the Avaza National Tourism Zone of Turkmenistan. The meeting is attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
