“SpaceX” plans massive project: $100 billion space base to be built

American billionaire Elon Musk’s “SpaceX” plans to build a massive space launch complex worth approximately $100 billion in the U.S. state of Louisiana, TodayPress TV reports.

According to the company and Louisiana authorities, the facility will be located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

If the project is completed, it will be “SpaceX’s” largest launch center to date.

The complex is expected to include five launch complexes and a total of 10 platforms. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with the first “Starship” rockets planned to launch from the site in 2029.

“SpaceX” aims to conduct thousands of launches annually from the new center in the future.

The company is currently developing its main launch center for “Starship” rockets in Texas. “SpaceX’s” long-term plans include regular flights to the Moon and Mars and the establishment of permanent human settlements beyond Earth.
