New step by the US and Denmark on Greenland issue
The agreement between the United States, Denmark and Greenland respects the island’s right to self-determination and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.
TodayPress TV reports that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said this in New York before the signing of the relevant document on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
“At the same time, the agreement, of course, respects the integrity and territorial sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark, as well as Greenland’s right to self-determination,” she emphasized.
