Estonia’s new president takes office
Estonia’s new president, Yulle Madize, has officially assumed office at a ceremony held in the parliament in Tallinn.
TodayPress TV reports, citing ERR, that Madize took the presidential oath in the Riigikogu’s Assembly Hall following the outgoing president Alar Karis’s final address to the nation as head of state.
Madize then delivered her first speech as president.
