Baghdad sets the diplomatic table – Iraq makes proposal to parties to conflict
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi has proposed holding direct talks in Baghdad between the parties to the conflict in the Persian Gulf region to address the current situation.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Al Hadath television channel, that he made the statement.
“Iraq is ready to hold direct talks between the parties to the conflict in the region,” al-Zaydi said.
He noted that Baghdad welcomes every serious diplomatic effort aimed at reducing tensions in the Persian Gulf region.
