In connection with September 25 being declared a National Day of Mourning in Kazakhstan, the flags at the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have been lowered to half-mast.

“Following the declaration of September 25 as a National Day of Mourning in Kazakhstan, the flags at the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States were lowered to half-mast as a sign of solidarity with the people of brotherly Kazakhstan and in memory of the servicemen who tragically lost their lives during a military exercise conducted by the Naval Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Caspian Sea yesterday.

On this day of grief, we wholeheartedly share the sorrow of the people of brotherly Kazakhstan, especially the families and loved ones of the servicemen who lost their lives,” the statement said.
