Ali Asadov extends condolences to Northern Cyprus PM

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, has offered condolences to Unal Ustel, Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan told TodayPress TV.

It was noted that on August 31, Asadov sent a letter of sympathy to Ustel following the shipwreck near Girne, which resulted in loss of life.

In the letter, condolences were expressed to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to the people of Northern Cyprus, while wishes for recovery were extended to the injured.

The Girne shipwreck claimed eight lives, with 237 passengers rescued, including two Azerbaijani citizens. Search operations continue for 19 missing passengers.
