Armenian national to stand trial over damage to Aliyev bust
The first court hearing in the case of Armenian citizen I.A. over damage to the bust of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi has been scheduled for November 12.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Axar.az, that the information was provided by the detainee’s lawyer, Teona Peradze.
It should be noted that 40-year-old I.A. has been held at Penitentiary Institution No. 8 since late September. He has been charged under Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for liability for damage to property. He faces up to five years in prison.
